If I were you I won't quit the job because health condition... you can't guarantee wht the next workplace is better than the present, maybe you can share your situation with your colleagues and find out the reason like pressure etc..

Are you sure your poor health is due to your job? If the answer is yes, i strongly recommend you to resign because nothing is more important that health~

Keep your health first before keeping a job!  That is obvious.  A ten-year old can tell you the answer.  Or, if it is really difficult to quit, due to some reasons, try to respond to your work environment differently so that you can avoid the health threatening factors.  Try to bargain for a better working environment which, I think, is our basic right.

Why not fight for a more reasonable healthy working environment before you quit?  You have nothing to lose.  Talk to your workers' union and arouse their attention.  Employers should provide their employees with a healthy working environment!

Go find another working environment, you job is killing you and your body is giving you signal. If you dont listen to this signal, your body will give you an alarm soon.

depends on two variables:
how long hv u worked here? hv u already learned enuf to move on/ put sth nice on ur CV?
is this job making your sick or other unhealthy habits?

Yes, my poor health condition is directly related to my job
Let me ask a few non-obivous and indirect questions to try to bring in the obvious answer.

- Harsh colleagues won't cause you to think about quiting. Boss will. Do you have problem with your direct boss squeezing you to death?
  (This is called workplace bullying.)

- Assumming your health is not immenently deterioting, are you financially able to survive for a few months w/o income, while resting and hunting for job?

- Do you enjoy your weekend or you usually stay home all the time?  Do you get stressed up when approaching Sunday night i.e. Monday morning?

1. Boss is OK

2. Yes, will be able to survive financially w/o income............

3. I am so sick that I need to stay at home every weekend..........
Yes, I get stressed up
My advice:

- Based on #2 & #3, it is 50/50 depending on how you weigh between your finance and your stress (weekend don't want to go out or can't go out).

- Talk to your boss rather than just resign straight. (You would resign straight only if it were all because of your boss.)

This is because your boss could be your way out. Explain to your boss your situation emphasising that your didn't create your own problem purposely.
Ask for temporarily reducing your work load / stress. If he is passionated, he might agree then this will be your "test water" to determine further.
This delays your decision and if you are still stressed, and all your weekends continue to be wasted, then resign to recoup on your mental / physical health.
If your boss doesn't agree to relieve you temporarily, you determine the weight between #2 and #3.

Sorry about your situation. Hope you have family member to help you.
