URGENT -- HK citizen employed by a US company to work in HK

I have an urgent question:
I am a HK citizen to be employed directly by a US company (no HK branch). Work place is in Hong Kong. Am I still entitled to salary tax in Hong Kong?  Or should I be considered as self-employed?

How about MPF? Since there is no HK branch company, how to set up the MPF account?

BTW,I do not need to pay US salary tax, right?

So does it mean that the company still needs to set up a branch or rep office in HK?  I.e. to obtain a business registration??

Thanks!

yes u need to register same as anybody else.
diplomats are not bound by any local laws, but if u get caught smuggle any contrabands u get treated the same.
lesser crime or spying activity they may just kick u out. grant u persona non grata.

It is a crime to carry out business in Hong Kong without a valid business registration certificate.

curious u represent the co. or an employee?
if u represent the co. , then it sounds like a fly by night co. making u the fall guy, soon as anything untowards happened they're disappear faster than david copperfield doing the magic thing on a jumbo jet!

best thing is to speak to the tax people.
