during the old days as it was bestowed as " See Yeah" part of their job is to find business. Another part is giving "off the record" advice as since they have neither lic nor regulatory board they can pretty well dispense any advice they want.
Not sure has it all changed now?

跟住分流: -
(3a) 大狀 - 6 個月見習 (不得執業) + 6 個月見習 (有限制執業)
(3b) 見習律師 - 24 個月見習期
所以: -
大狀 - 6.5 年
律師 - 8 年

I am the same as you, I'm working in a law firm and studying part-time LLB at HKUSPACE. you should go for it! but I want to say, it is better if you are already in the legal field (like me, Iam already in the field before i started studying LLB) since the concept is hard to grasp .. i personally know a few friend of mine dropped out of the course because they are not working in legal field and find the subject boring.

law is not easy to grasp or connect quite often. We grew up in a different society with confucius, tao teaching and often times is a direct conflict.
U need a very logical & analytical mind too.

Welcome. As a lawyer the older the better. But you may work harder than legal people to reach a standard of your age.
Also the more you do you will be more welcome.
Fighting and never give up. Always keep a mind. 28 is not at all old to change.
