## 物理 Thermdynamic question

A 10.0 cm long cylindrical chamber has a 5.00 cm diameter piston attached to one end,
The piston is connected to an ideal spring with a spring constant of 10.0 N/cm. Initially,
the spring is not compressed but is latched in place so that it cannot move. When the
cylinder is filled with gas to a pressure of 5.00 x 105 Pa at a constant temperature, the spring is unlatched. Because of the difference in pressure between the inside of the
chamber and the outside, the spring moves a distance Δx. Heat is allowed to flow into
the chamber as it expands so that the temperature of the gas remains constant. Find Δx.

Hints:

(1) pressure = force/area   ----->  force = pressure x area
(2) Hooke's law: F = -kx
