my new job - have I been cheated?

Before I start my new role, I was told my main duties will be project focus.

On my first day with the company, I was then immediately asked to takeover all the operational work as one of the colleague is leaving.

I was then told by my manager that this is only for temporary basis as they have a replacement for the colleague who will be leaving soon who will then help out with the operational tasks.

Yesterday, I was then told by my manager that the replacement who will be joining will not takeover all the operational tasks and I will not be doing just "project focus" work and our roles will be split. This means I will still need to do the operational work which I was not told before I join.

I feel I have been cheated and am not happy with the situation. Do you feel the same as well?

Should I quit the job now or find another one before quitting?

it all depends on what u have to do and what u getting paid for?
if principle is very important to u then u should be getting off the island altogether.

Unless you are your own boss, shit like this happen all the time.

If money is not an issue, by all means find another job. Otherwise, as long as you're just an employee,  it's the same everywhere.

do not get surprised that your boss would projectise the tasks and making all operational tasks to become projects...

Young is not everything

i am advise you that, sometime hard job can give us training for the future. if such thing u cann handlle it well.
you future will not really brave and bright. Someone told me that 吃虧當吃補,前途會更好。

of course still need to face on fact, how the salary giving to you. u may discuss with ur boss that, since i have double of job, will i have the double of salary or any incentive for that job. still depand on you need or training.

after all, you may be training to do the hard job. the door will be more widely for u.

It Depends On You, If You Want To Learn More, You Should Suck It Up, Because Experience Are Harder To Get Compare to a Degree.

principally wong, false advertising.
If it became a big issue for s/he now then the road will be very rocky in the future.
I have fnds like this, they all try to " work in the pointed deep end of a Bull's horn"
in the end they try to blame their own failure onto everybody else since they're so right and the system was not fair.
All losers have very flowery excuses.
if u do opposite of what they do and u will be guaranteed success in a very big way.

What difference does it make if you get paid the correct salary?
