only in plo....

where in a 6 handed game, flops come Straight-flush V top set v middle set, and rivers a straight flush V top house v quads.  Boy, am I glad that the straight flush is a shortie, and top house gave enough action when beat to more than cover my losses to him.

On  wet unpaired flops without a made-hand (straight, flush etc), the action can be crazy if a set runs into a big draw, or if two big draw run in to each-other head-on.  However, on the monotone flops, action is usually slow if the nut flush are in EP.  Nut-flush would be trying to milk the pot, while player behind with either two-pairs/set/smaller flush would be trying to play pot control most of the time.  The most the nut flush will get is two bets most of the time unless the board changes at turn or river.

The other times where action might be strong is on made straight flops, and two deep players with good redraws decide to play it fast.
