[/url] 美國紐約去年「激光貓」事件主角、高中生羅德里格斯（Draven Rodriguez），上周四在寓所自殺身亡，終年17歲。
羅德里格斯去年秋天，要求校刊刊登他抱着愛貓Mr. Bigglesworth並以交錯繽紛激光為背景的照片，引起全國熱議。他當時解釋：「這是我在高中的最後一年。如果我要留下一點東西，我想那東西有點個人色彩。」
羅德里格斯的要求最初遭校方拒絕。他將照片放上網，發起簽名運動，收集到幾千個簽名。校長威爾金森（Diane Wilkinson）決定插手，貼出她與芝娃娃Vivian合照，以示支持羅德里格斯。
羅德里格斯的照片將會在校刊的「校長之言」中刊登，為美國愛護動物協會宣揚拯救動物訊息。
