Well... I don't use apps. I am using Putty for Window$ PC.... :smile_30:

Just make sure that the default iptables policy is DROP!
Then open specified ports that have services.

iptables syntax is enough nightmare [/quote]If you had time, no harming reading it. firewalld is still using iptables commands. So understanding the basics of iptables will help you use firewalld.

when complex rule required, rich language just dump your iptable cmd to the system
then why not go straight to iptables

Anyway, take your time in learning Linux. DO NOT bet on Linux for a better career. It's not there yet!
