查看完整版本 : 想買部 Laptop 試行 Linux，有什麼需注意?

想買部輕、平、細的 laptop 行 Linux，試代替 Windows，請問有什麼需需注意。

1. 聽講最好用 i3 的 CPU，Celeron 等沒有甘好。
2. RAM 需要最少 4GB RAM

仲有甚麼注意?

暫定用 Ubuntu 還是 Mint 來行。(仲有邊款介紹?)

主要用:
1. E-mail - 最好有得 offline 用如 outlook
2. web browser - Firefox
3. Word, Spreadhseet - I know there is built in program.
4. 看 PDF
5. 看相 (jpg)
6. 看 dwg (CAD 圖) (有 viewer 就最好)

我剛剛電腦商場看，有幾部是行 Intel Nxxxx netbook.

只是千幾二千蚊。

問題是 Netbook 裝到 Lunix 嗎?

新手買i3好啲有iGPU 用x用得爽啲

Ubuntu 個unity 好食ram

Celeron 都有iGPU
CHECK 完 INTEL ARK 沒講錢

i3 laptop is too expensive. out of budget.

Is 2GB RAM good enough?

If not, I will have to try other Lunix.

I have seen some very thin and light netbook. Not much in Hong Kong but common in Shenzhen.  I will go to Shenzhen to check again this weekend.

My purpose is to run one of these light weight netbook in Lunix to test if I can actually work entirely using Lunix to replace Windows. This is just a test for my own interest.

I need a very inexpensive light weight netbook to try.

先用vm/virtualbox試下先
再唔係可以用usb disk試下再決定

真係得, 昨晚才幫部Lenovo S100 Netbook 換SSD裝ubuntu.
只得1GB ram, 快就一定唔得, 叫用到, 沒有win7 starter咁lag.

I bought a netbook, Lenova ideapad Flex3-11. 4GB RAM with 500GB hard drive. RMB2700. Installed Ubuntu and dual boot windows or Ubuntu. It work smoothly.

The only problem now is email. My company email is in office 365. I google on how to set up for Thunderbird and Evolution, both fail.

If I can sucessfully get email syn, then I will switch the hard drive to 128GB SSD.

Still trying to figure out how to setup. I try most of the possibility.

I have already set up and run on a desktop for BT. Just did not set up the email. So, I tried the basic alrrady.The desktop is i5 with 16G RAM.

I also did try on USB. This has a few issue.

I like to try on low hardware specification and setup email and dropbox.

where did you get the chinese version from? does it has 筆畫輸入法？

裝的時候有得選中文, 輸入法我是用速成跟以下做法.

需要什麽 plugin?

自己goo唔記得左

I did google. Plugin is a paid software (I am ok with paid software), but must pay every year. This is too much for me.

Actually, without installing extra driver, I can use the touch screen under ubuntu. I did not expect that at all.

Both touchpad and touch screen work.
