page table 有 512 entries, 所以有 9 bits, 頭 9 bit 顯示 page table index = 001101101= 109，但係 frame number 點計？咩叫 two times less than ？

My understanding is as follows for bigger:

1 time bigger = 100% bigger
2 times bigger = 200% bigger (even native English speakers may confuse about this one and consider as 2 times as big as)
For example, if x is 2 times bigger than y and y is 100, x is 300.
Similarly for smaller but the object to be compared is swapped.
For example if x is 3 times smaller than y and y is 100, x is 25. In other words, y is 3 times bigger than x.

For a), a logical address has 16 bits. The first 9 bits are the page number. The remaining 7 bits are the frame number. As a result:

Page number is 3 times bigger than the frame number; or
Frame number is 3 times smaller than the page number
I agree that it is very confusable.

Mathematically,

x is m times bigger than y:
(x - y) / y = m
=> x = (m + 1) y

x is m times smaller than y:
(y - x) / x = m
=> x = y / (m + 1)
