router 就不嬲用開Untangle(Linux based 嘅router software), Dell Optiplex 3020 - i3-3320/ 8 gb /128 ssd+一張low profile嘅 Intel Nic
Access Point 用咗幾年嘅 HP 560 AC access point(幾年前訂價5村幾人,依悲特價2 舊幾)。(用POE+ 802.3at injector), 不過HPE已經End of Life, 再冇更新喇。
230Mbps download/36Mbps upload
POE+ injector.

Ubiquiti is not true Enterprise grade yet, and the construction is flimsy in comparison to real Enterprise grade equipment.
The ubiquiti unified AP weights like nothing in hand. If you get your hands on an Aruba AP, you will see the difference right away.
Don't get me wrong, Ubiquiti is great for most home, the configuration is not the easiest for home user though. I had recommended and installed ubiquiti for acquaintances. It ran for years. However, ubiquiti only has 1 year warranty.
When I can get really great deal on Enterprise grade equipments, there is simply no comparison.
Aruba unified AP and switches are great, couple that with their warranty, unbeatable.

yep, no doubt, you got what you paid for.
enterprise grade equipment are built for last and centralized management, with extended features that are just too much for soho or smb environments. i once had an offer to get some retired aironets, but the extra cost of licences for just an AP doesn't justify for 'hk prison style home' use LOL.
business class routers, however, are something that you just can't turn down. those integrated wifi routers was never my cup of tea, especially those labelled for home users, somehow i have a feeling that when the wlan got too busy the entire routing performance got dragged down (if not locked up) as well. i laugh so hard every time i see those routers that features the built-in schedule reboot features... it's like, if you can't fix it, reboot it !

In my case , I get much better products than I paid.LOL
Licensing cost of certain products make them prohibitive to be used by regular joe. I do have access to current Cisco and Meraki products, but opt to not use them because of the high cost of licensing for my use case.
I had dealt with watch guard firebox that locked up when it was near the end of it's life after years of good service .
It's just that the mtbf is much higher on Enterprise grade equipments.
Cisco router has high licensing cost associated as well, so Linux and bsd base router are perfect for my personal use.
