Our Seiko Collections

Rolex is most frequently discussed here, followed by Seiko. Dearsid suggested to have a thread devoting to Seiko auto watches. I will start the ball rolling and all Seiko fans brothers/sisters will continue to add on their pieces. So I will call this "Our Seiko Collections" rather than "My Seiko Collection". I suggest to include as much information as possible so that this thread will  become a good reference for Seiko fans.
(Sorry that I don't know Chinese typing :(.)

Updated on 7 Aug 2007:

(1) Seiko scuba diver SKX007K: 7S26 caliber, 200M, non-hackable and cannot be manual wound, come with bracelet or rubber strap. I changed mine to an Oris style rubber strap.

(2) Seiko 5- Seiko Diver’s 40th Anniversary SKZ205K1: 7S36 caliber, Ti, limited edition of 2005 pieces.

(3) Seiko Prospex Marinemaster SBDX001: said to be comparable to Rolex divers, 300M, one-piece case, 8L35 caliber. I changed it to a carbon strap because the original bracelet is a bit big for my small wrist.

We finally have something different this time, brother Stocker.  I don’t have any GS or S….I like the first one with white dial.  May I know how much is this one?

dy01 2005-10-8 10:08 AM

i like the marine master!!

dearsid 2005-10-8 10:19 AM

I have to thank CHIUKH2007 naming this thread brilliantly as “OUR SEIKO COLLECTIONS.”

I suggested this to CHIUKH2007 and few others in view of people always enquire about entry automatic watches at reasonable and affordable price, so Seiko and Citizen seem natural and direct answers to their calls.

But it then gives a general impression that Seiko and Citizen are cheap and with poor quality. In fact, both brands have their top lines of product which just not that popular to the general. They can easily cost over $10,000 with innovative designs like the new “Spring Drive” technology from Seiko in late 2004.

I have to declare that I am not personally related to Seiko nor Citizen in any ways. I started to buy my second Seiko early this year after my explorer II was stolen and you bet it, it was the Seiko 40 ti that I am crazy in love with it. I then went on buying 7 more…..

I would like to add few suggestions to this thread:

1.        This welcomes everybody to post their watches and dose not matter if there is only one or few, or whether they are cheap or costly, because CHIUKH2007 said it right that it is OUR Seiko collection.

2.        Please if possible, brothers who have posted their pics see if they can add details to their collection, just like what CHIUKH2007 had done, like model numbers. It helps other to identify the watch if they are interested. It does not matter if there are duplications but they are your personal picks.

3.        I would like the 版主 to 置頂 otherwsie it will expire late and disappear. As this represents the contribution by OUR members here and they are our collections, i.e. unique to other forums in the rest of the Internet world, I think it worths staying here.

4.        We are not trying to do any advertisement for any brands but just a bunch of watch maniacs, lovers who so happen to gather in here by fate and hope that we all can at least share some meaningful time here and grasp a few friends as bonus.

Other brothers, if interested can start their threads for different brands and I believe we will all be amazed by your collections.

Thanks everybody here!  Enjoy and have a happy happy day wearing your lovely watch.

At that time, most of us missed the boat. It should not be a limited edition and costed around HK8000 to 9000 (now 1995US!:L). It is a manual wind.
