你現在參與的,是大富翁新世代世界版「MONOPOLY Here & Now: The World Edition!」。

Gameplay

For instance, that measly light blue space with the  .08M rent? It’s bumped up to  .16M if a player owns all the light blue space. And if a player builds three houses on there, the rent skyrockets to  3.00M! (And with a hotel, it’s  6.00M!)

Tip:

One of the keys to winning the game is to collect all the properties in the same color group and build houses and hotels on them. That’ll increase the rents and make you the most money.

The two exceptions to this rule are Transport Spaces and Utilities. In Transport Spaces (formerly known as Railroads), the amount of rent you owe is proportional to the number of Transports that player owns. For Utilities, the amount of rent you owe is equal to your dice roll multiplied by a number. ( .04M for one utility,  .10M for two utilities.)

If a player lands on a property and chooses not to buy it, it gets auctioned off to the highest bidder.

To participate in an auction, you just need to enter the highest value you’re willing to pay using the ATM-like keypad. This can be more or less than the value of the property, and it’s not necessarily the amount you’ll end up paying. It’s kinda like when you bid for an item on an online auction site – you enter the maximum amount you want to spend, and then the computer auto-bids for you until you either win the auction, or you get outbid.

Note that you can actually bid more than the amount of cash you have on hand. Keep in mind that if you win the auction, however, you might need to sell houses or mortgage some of your properties in order to pay for it, so bid carefully.

建屋

So you’ve finally got all the properties in the same color group and you’re ready to start building houses, huh? Let’s get started...

To start building houses, you can either click the "Build Houses" button when you're looking at a property you own, or you can click the Build button on the main game screen.

Once you’re in the building screen, you can select the number of houses you want to build just by clicking on the little house icons next to the property that you want to build on. When you're all done, click the "Do it!" button to finish building.

Of course, there are a few other rules you need to be aware of. For starters, official MONOPOLY rules state that you need to build houses evenly. That means that if you build one house on a property, you can’t build a second house on that property until you’ve built one house on every other property in that group.

Some variations of the House Rules let you build unevenly, so be sure to check what rule set you’re playing with.

Another rule you need to be careful of is that you might be playing with a limited number of houses and hotels. You obviously can’t add eight houses to the board if there are only two houses left in the bank. But what’s even trickier is that you can’t build hotels unless there are enough houses in the bank to build the required amount of houses first. In other words, if you wanted to build three hotels on a group of three properties, you’d need to have 12 houses available in the bank!

Yes, it can get a little complicated, but that’s why you’ve got the computer there to figure it out for you. If you’re ever unsure about what you can and can’t do, try it, and the computer will tell you if you’re trying to build illegally.

Tip:
Some tricky MONOPOLY players won’t build hotels. They’ll just put as many houses as they can on all the properties they own, so that there aren’t any left for their opponents to use!

Uh-oh. Not enough cash to pay the rent? Want to buy a property that you can’t afford? It’s time to start mortgaging properties. Mortgaging properties will give you some cash for the properties you own, but you won’t be able to collect rent on a property that’s been mortgaged.

To mortgage a property, either click on a property you own and click the “Mortgage” or “Sell Houses” button, or click the “Mortgage/Sell” button on the main game board. You’ll be presented with a screen that looks a little something like this...

If you want to mortgage a property, just click on the checkbox on the left hand side. The property will become mortgaged, and you’ll receive cash equal to half the value of the property's value. So if a property is worth  1.80M, you’ll receive  .90M when you mortgage it.

If you want to sell a house, just click on the houses you want to sell. The houses will get sold, and you’ll get cash equal to half the value of the house. (So if a house is worth  1.00M, you can sell it for  .50M)

Tip:

If you have a choice between mortgaging a property or selling houses and hotels, you should mortgage all you can first. It's a much better deal.

Note that like when you're building houses, most versions of the rules require that you sell houses evenly as well. So you can't, for example, sell all four houses on one property of a color group, but leave four houses on the other two. Also note that you can't mortgage a property if there are still houses on any of the remaining properties. For example in this situation below...

...I can't mortgage Vancouver or Shanghai because there is still a house remaining on Rome. I'd have to sell that remaining house, and then I could mortgage all of my orange properties.

If you find yourself in debt and you're not quite sure what to mortgage or sell, just click the "Auto Mortgage" button, and the computer will figure it out for you. It does a pretty good job of raising the right amount of money.

Jail

Oops. Did you get one too many doubles? Land on the Go to Jail spot? Well, it looks like you're off to jail. But don't worry -- jail's not so bad of a place in MONOPOLY.
If you start a turn in jail, you can try one of three ways to get out...

1.        You can pay a fine of  .50M. If you pay the fine, then you get to roll the dice and begin your turn like normal.
2.        You can use a Get Out of Jail Free card. It works just like paying the fine, except, of course, that you don't need to spend any cash.
3.        You can roll the dice and hope you roll doubles.

1.        If you roll doubles and make it, good for you! You can get out of jail and travel the amount that you rolled. You don't get to roll again, however, even though you rolled doubles.
2.        If you don't roll doubles, you have to wait until your next turn and try again.
3.        On your third try, if you still don't roll doubles, you'll have to pay the  .50M fine, and then you can move your piece the number of spaces you just rolled on the third attempt.

Tip:
Expert players like to get out of jail quickly at the beginning of the game, so they don't miss a chance to buy properties. But they sometimes like to stay in jail later in the game because they can avoid paying rent on other players' properties.

Trading

Trading is the key to winning MONOPOLY! If you don't trade for the right properties, you might never get a complete color group, and it's really hard to win without one!

There are two ways to start trading...

If you click on somebody else's property on the main game screen (and it's your turn), you will see a "Trade for this" button on the Dialog that appears. Clicking this button will let you start a trade with that property's owner. And, just to help things along a little more, that property will already be selected in the "Opponent will give you" area. This is our favorite way of starting up a trade, because most of the time, we're trading in order to get a particular property.

The other way to start trading is to click on the Trade button on the main game board. You'll be asked who you want to trade with, and then you'll be taken to the trade screen.

The trade screen might look a little complicated at first, but with enough practice, you'll be making deals in no time!

At the top half of the screen is the area where you can select the properties you want your opponent to give to you. To select a property, just click on it. An arrow will appear indicating that this property is selected to be traded, and the name of the property will also appear on the trade summary on the left. You can unselect properties in the same way. Properties that this player owns will be shown in a solid color, so it should be very obvious what properties are available to trade and which aren't.

If you want your opponent to give you cash, just click the "Change" button next to where it says Cash. Enter whatever amount you'd like on the ATM-like keypad that pops up, and click the Okay button.

If you want to offer propreties or cash of your own to trade away, just follow the same procedure, except use the bottom half of the screen. That's the stuff you'll be giving up.

Mr. Monopoly will be there to help evaluate your trade, and he'll let you know if the trade seems fair or not. But remember, that's only his opinion. You're free to offer up trades that he doesn't like, but if you're having trouble determining whether a trade is a good one or not, he can be a helpful guide.

Once you're done setting up a trade, click the "Offer" button to offer it up to your opponent. He or she will then decide whether to take it, reject it, or make you a counter offer.

If you're the one being offered the trade, you'll first receive a dialog box telling you a little about the trade you'll be receiving...

Clicking the "View Offer" button will let you see the complete trade, along with Mr. Monopoly's opinion. At this point, you have three options.
•        Click "Accept" to accept the trade. Congratulations! You've completed a trade!
•        Click "Reject" to reject the trade completely.
•        Finally, click "Counter" to propose a counter-offer. When you propose a counter-offer, you'll be given an opportunity to fine-tune the offer you just received. If you like an offer that an opponent is giving you, but maybe want a little more cash, a Counter-offer is a good way to go.
Running Out of Cash and Going Bankrupt

Nobody likes to run out of cash, but in MONOPOLY, it'll probably happen to you. When this happens, you'll be given a few opportunities to raise the cash you need. Depending on the situation, you'll be given the option to Mortgage or Sell properties, make a Trade in order to raise enough cash, or Declare Bankruptcy.

Tip:

If you need to raise cash and want to do it in a jiffy, click the "Mortgage/Sell" button, and then click the Auto Mortgage button in the window that appears.

If you find that you can't mortgage enough properties to raise cash and nobody offers you enough cash to get out of debt, you'll have to declare bankruptcy. When that happens, you're out of the game. Depending on the house rules you're playing with, your properties will either be given to the player you owe money to, auctioned off to the highest bidder, or distributed to all remaining players randomly.

Note: There is an obscure but important rule in MONOPOLY that says that when you're in debt, you can only make a trade that will allow you to get out of debt. Basically, this would prevent you from just "giving" all of your properties to player B as you're going bankrupt to player A. Don't worry too much about this rule; the game is smart enough to enforce it without your needing to think about it.

Ending the Game

An official game of MONOPOLY ends when all players but one have gone bankrupt. Since this can sometimes take a long time, we've added several other ways for the game to end. Games can end after a time limit has been reached, after a certain number of turns have been played, when a player hits a Net Worth Goal, or when a certain number of players have gone bankrupt.

If a game ends because one of these limits has been reached, the winner is determined by the player with the highest Net Worth. And how is Net Worth calculated? It's basically a sum of the following values...
•        The player's cash
•        The purchase price of all the player's properties (for example, a property purchased for  1.80 would contribute  1.80 to the player's Net Worth)
•        The purchase price of all the player's houses and hotels
•        Half the purchase price of all properties that have been mortgaged. (For example, a property purchased for  1.80 and then mortgaged for  .90 would contribute  .90 to the player's Net Worth)

...Get Out of Jail cards aren't worth anything.

Whoever has the highest Net Worth at the end of the game wins!

Nominating a Winner

Sometimes, it's pretty obvious that a certain player is going to win the game. When that happens, rather than drag out the game for too long, you can click the "Nominate Winner" button to nominate the player in the lead to be the winner of the game.

There are some restrictions around when you can nominate somebody as a winner. For you to nominate a winner, somebody has to have a Net Worth that's at least twice as big as the next player's Net Worth. The player you're nominating also needs to own at least one complete color group. You also can't nominate somebody too often (that could get annoying) and, most importantly, you can't nominate yourself. Sorry.

If a player gets nominated, everybody gets a chance to vote on whether or not that player should be declared the winner. If all players say yes, then a winner is declared and you can move on to the next game.

Tip:

Nominating a player can be a nice way of wrapping up a game when it's obvious that somebody's going to win. It helps prevent the losing players from getting bored and leaving the game.

View History

If you were zoning out during the last few turns of the game and want a quick re-cap of what just happened, click the View History button! This will bring up a small window showing you a step-by-step replay of everything that's happened in the game. It's not exactly the most exciting reading material out there, but it's useful if you missed what happened during a player's move.

Tokens

You earn tokens in MONOPOLY Here & Now: The World Edition through a variety of ways...
•        Passing GO
•        Collecting rent from other players
•        Landing on Free Parking
•        Rolling Doubles
•        Getting "good" Community Chest and Chance Cards
•        Completing a Color Group (one award per color group per game)

But most importantly, you earn tokens just for playing the game. At the end of the game, you will be rewarded tokens for every turn you took. The amount of tokens depends on how you finished -- a first place person will earn 30 tokens per turn, but even a player that comes in fourth will earn 15 tokens per turn. So don't worry too much about playing a particular way to earn tokens -- just play the game like you normally would and you'll rack 'em up!
